The story behind Performance-N
Performance-N was established around a simple observation.
Many capable leaders carry decisions that cannot easily be explored inside their organisations or professional environments.
Time pressure, responsibility for others, and competing priorities often make it difficult to step back from the immediate demands of the situation and think clearly about what matters most.
Having operated at senior executive levels where financial and operational decisions carried real organisational and market consequence, it became clear how valuable thoughtful conversation can be in these moments.
Leaders often receive advice from many directions, advisors, colleagues, boards, partners, and trusted friends. Each perspective can be valuable, yet each also brings its own priorities and viewpoints.
What is often missing is a place where the situation can be explored openly.
A thinking partnership creates the space for individuals to examine complex situations carefully, test assumptions, and see the situation with greater clarity.
Performance-N exists to provide that space, helping capable individuals think carefully about consequential situations and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Performance-N was founded by Reg Beniac following two decades of executive experience in environments where financial, operational, and leadership decisions carried real organisational and market consequence.
Working alongside executive teams and boards in environments involving growth, restructuring, and strategic pressure, both nationally and internationally, provided a direct view of how consequential decisions are made and the responsibility leaders carry when navigating them.
Alongside this commercial experience, Reg developed his coaching practice to provide a disciplined environment for careful thinking. As a certified executive coach, his work focuses on helping capable individuals examine complex situations, test assumptions, and arrive at decisions they are prepared to carry forward.
This combination of real organisational experience and a structured coaching process forms the foundation of the Performance-N approach.
Inside organisations, many consequential situations cannot be explored openly. A thinking partnership provides the space to examine complex situations with perspective and determine the path forward they fully own.
Reg’s work reflects a global practice grounded in both Australian and North American executive environments, having spent much of his career operating across both.
Alongside his executive and coaching work, he maintains a long-standing interest in how capable individuals think through complex situations, particularly when responsibility, competing priorities, and uncertainty intersect.
This curiosity is supported by ongoing graduate and professional study, reflecting a commitment to remain engaged with evolving research and thinking in leadership, decision-making, and human performance.
A conversation may be the right place to start.
